Lifeline

Lifeline offers 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. They exist so that no Australian has to experience their darkest time alone. Give them a buzz if you would like to chat to someone.

Beyond Blue

Beyond Blue has trained mental health professionals you can chat to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  A great starting point if you’d like some guidance as to where to start and what to do next.

Suicide Call Back Service

If you or someone you know is feeling overwhelmed and suicidal call 1300 659 467 or you can also chat via text or video on their website. You can speak with a qualified professional counsellor, social worker or psychologist, trained to follow a contextual counselling and problem solving process to listen, understand you, and help you find ways to feel better.

Cancer Council

A free confidential telephone support service in each state and territory for both people experiencing cancer and those that are supporting them. (I had a friend call up and use this service and it made a huge positive difference in how they supported me.)

1800 RESPECT

If you or someone you know is at risk or being in an abusive relationship you can call and chat at anytime or chat online.

Kids Helpline

Phone and online counselling services for kids, teens, young adults, parents and teachers. A great service for young people or those that support them.
